News Death Notice

TUVELL, David J. 77, of Cedarville, passed away on August 1, 2009 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Dayton. He was born on December 30, 1931 in Springfield the son of Jesse and Ethyl (Collins) Tuvell. He went to Springfield High and graduated in 1951. Prior to completing his diploma he enlisted (with the permission of his mother) in the United States Army to serve our country in the Korean War. He returned to Springfield and spent his career in the restaurant business. One of the last restaurants he managed was Little Joe's in Cedarville. He also was employed for several years managing apartments and was skilled with his hands and loved to make sure people were well taken care of. David is survived by his wife, Jo Ann (Eberhart) Tuvell of Cedarville, two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Barbara Tuvell of Utah; and Kevin and Usha Tuvell of California; two grandchildren: Priya and Shelia; sister, Rose Ferrer of Springfield, three brothers: Howard Tuvell of Connecticut; Joe Tuvell of Florida; and Jay Boyer of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, four step daughters: Sue, Billie Jo, Richalei, and Shannon; three step sons: Darrell, Stephen, and Brett; many step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Mark David, and his sister, Ann Tuvell. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 in the Veterans Administration Cemetery, Dayton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
