MERRIMAN, Plesola (Doyle) 80 of Springfield, went home to be with our lord on Wednesday July 6, 2011 at 4:10 p.m. in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born June 24, 1931 in West Memphis, Ark. She was the second oldest daughter of Tom and Roberta (Dickson) Doyle Sr. She retired from the Ohio Thermometer Corp and served as a child care provider for several years. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Merriman. Two sons, Ronnie and Robert Merriman. Six sisters, Earnestine Grays, Pauline Murray, Almetia Doyle, Rosetta Arnold, Neomia Bell and Queen Ester Owens. One brother, Rayford Doyle. 17 grandcildren, 20 great grandchildren, a special sister in Christ, Grace Bennett. A host of nieces and nephews. She was prceded in death by her Husband, Edward Merriman Sr. Her parents. Sons, Edward Jr., David and Donald Sr. Merriman..Sisters, Odessa Carter, Cora Mae Landcaster. Brothers, Tom Jr., John Willie, Roosevelt and Sydney Doyle. Her body was entrusted to the D.B. Washington Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace (323-4555) 1530 S. Yellow Springs Street, where friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday July 16, 2011 until time of services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Clara Boyd Williams, assistant pastor of Restored Life Ministries officiating.
