David L. TINGLEY Obituary

News Death Notice

TINGLEY, David L. Transitioned peacefully from this earthly existence on May 23, 2012. He was born to Victor and Bertha Tingley on November 13, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio and was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He was a graduate of Ohio State University, served as a teacher at Northeastern High School and was retired from Springview Developmental Center as Education Coordinator. His greatest pleasure in life was his family and he was happiest when all were gathered together playing Euchre or just having lively conversation. Also he greatly loved all of God's four legged and winged creatures. Dave leaves to cherish his memory a son, Victor (Debbie) Tingley of West Jefferson, daughter Tausha (Marc) Metz of Enon, two sisters Lynne (Tim McKay) Keifer of Bettendorf, Iowa and Terri (Joe) Hoffman of New Carlisle, his beloved grandchildren, Cameron Bost, Shelby Metz and Sully Tingley, bonus granddaughter Miranda Jones and father-in-law Richard Jacobs of Xenia. The entire family would like to extend love and thanks to Amy Clark who assisted in caring for Dave these last months. Her compassion and selflessness is an inspiration. He was preceded in death by his wife Diana Jacobs and his parents. A celebration of Dave's life will be held on June 4, 2012 from 6 to 8PM at Jones Kenney Zechman Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Animal Welfare League of Clark County.
