News Death Notice

BAKER, Clyde Emerson 84, of Springfield, passed away on, Monday, October 15, 2012 in Villa of Springfield. He was born on March 27, 1928 in Williamsburg, Kentucky, the son of Elisha and Josephine (Jones) Baker. He worked for twenty-five years at Universal Atlas Cements in Fairborn and then retired from the Clark-Shawnee Local School District as a custodian. He is survived by his son, Larry Baker of Springfield, three sisters: Flora Roberts, Flossie Croley, and Fay (Jim) Partin, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one brother and sister-in-law, Chester and Christine Baker of Fairborn; six grandchildren: Bridget, Layla, Angela, Aleya, Stacey, and Leslie; many great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ronnie Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-eight years, Marjorie (Martin) Baker, his parents, four sons: Clyde Jr., Edward, David, and an infant son; one brother, Floyd Baker, brother-in-law, Dwayne Martin, and two sisters-in-law: Opal Wiseman and Mildred Perkins. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
