Jack DOLIHITE Obituary

News Death Notice

DOLIHITE, Jack 76, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 17, 1936 in Springfield the son of Jacob Albert and Louise (Lail) Dolihite. He served our country in the United States Air Force and retired from International Harvester in 2011 after over forty years of service. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks 52, the Fraternal Order Eagles 397 Aerie, and the Union Club. Jack also enjoyed visiting the casinos. He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Vicki (Crackel) Dolihite of Springfield, six children and their spouses: Pamela and Joe Davis of Springfield, PatDeOyarzabal of Tremont City, Tonya DeOyarzabal -Eales of Springfield, Cindy Dolihite (Doug Winget) of Springfield, Nikki and Todd Cochran of Springfield, and Amy Dolihite of Davie, Florida; ten grandchildren: Brock (Amanda), Paige, Monte, Jena, Hayden, Logan, Skyler, Seth, Elijah, and Hadley; two great grandchildren, Carson and Alex, brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Mary Rita Dolihite of Lexington, Kentucky; in-laws: Yvonne and Bruce Rowlands of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and Don and Ginger Crackel of Greeley, Colorado; niece, Leslie Jones and nephew, Brian Dolihite, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter, Jordan Dyke. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Lodge services will be held on Friday during visitation at 7:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
