BROWN, Edward Thomas Jr., 54, of Tampa, passed away unexpectedly June 10, 2013. He was born on Oct. 16, 1958 in Atlanta, GA to Edward and Patricia Brown. He was raised in Tampa and graduated from Tampa Bay Technical School in 1976, with an Agriculture degree and emphasis in Forestry. He joined the U.S. Navy in June 1976 and proudly served as Gunners Mate on the USS McCandless 1084, a fast frigate. He loved his time at sea, and earned Honors as a member of the Gunnery Support team. He left the Navy as a Third Class Petty Officer in June 1980. His degrees in electronics, trucking, pool and spa operation, and building maintenance helped him through his many enterprises in civilian life. Edward is survived by his parents, Patricia and Leslie Swilley of Land O'Lakes and Edward and Treva Brown of Dunnellon. Also by his best friend of 30 years, Brian Isch and his ex-wife Rose Patnaude. He leaves behind his loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many other friends & relatives. Services will be held July 26, 2013, 10 am at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
