OLDJA, John 63, of St. Petersburg, died July 16, 2016 at Woodside Hospice. Born in communist former Yugoslavia, he immigrated to the U.S. with his parents and younger brother at age 17. He earned a BA in Philosophy from William Paterson College in New Jersy and a general contractor's license. He leaves behind a thriving family-run kitchen remodeling company in St Petersburg. A soccer fanatic, John played throughout college and semipro men's leagues. He spoke seven languages and traveled the world with ease and an enthusiasm for different cultures. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diane Oldja; son, Johnny; daughter, Lauren; daughter-in-law, Erica; granddaughter, Caroline; mother, Ruzica; and many friends that miss him dearly. John's visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, 5-8 pm, at Anderson McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St Petersburg. A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, July 28, 11 am, at First Unity, 460 46th Ave. N., St Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to www.lung.org . OLESON Sr., Donald Frank  
OLESON Sr., Donald Frank 91, of Tampa, passed away June 22, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eleanor; sons, Donald Jr. and Kenneth; daughter, Nancy; along with five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Tampa. Donald was a veteran of World War II proudly serving in the Navy in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Pacific. Don went on to join his brothers in the family business of millwork and cabinetry in Tampa for 45 years. Don's passion was sports, playing basketball for Hillsborough High and The University of Tampa. When he had spare time he would be on the golf course or the tennis court. Don is remembered as a loving father by his family, who was always there with patience and good advice. We love you dad, and don't forget to behave up there. A memorial service will be held at Christ our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Temple Terrace, Saturday, July 23, 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the church.
