HICKS, Jeffery Donn 30, of Lakeland, died Nov. 17, 2014, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born April 11, 1984 in Tampa. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy. Surviving are his parents, James and Tina Hicks; sons, Dylan Hicks, Xiaver Hicks and Isiaha Hicks; brothers, James A Hicks Jr. & Christopher Hicks; sisters, Ginger Hicks and Autumn Hicks. A Funeral service will be 11 am, Monday, Nov. 24, at Haught Funeral Home Chapel, 708 W. Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Blvd., Plant City. HOBBS, Margaret Diaz "Margo"  
HOBBS, Margaret Diaz "Margo" 97, of Tampa, was received into heaven Nov. 16, 2014. A lifelong resident of Tampa, Mrs. Hobbs was predeceased by her parents, Avilio Diaz and Maria Fernandez Diaz; brother, Joe "Pelusa" Diaz; sisters, Gloria Dato and Casilda Sullivan Gates; and husband, Robert O. Hobbs. She is survived by her nephews, Al Dato (Josephine), Dan Sullivan (Lynn), Robert O. Hobbs, and Walter Hobbs; nieces, Gloria Jean Sullivan and Shirley O'Sullivan; greatniece, Antoinina Watkins, M.D.; great-nephews, Daniel and Dylan Sullivan. Margaret resided in Tampa, but also spent many enjoyable years at her villa in Valdore, Spain, where her father was born. She was formerly a beautician and owned Hair Styles by Margaret in Temple Terrace for many years. Margaret was an active member of Palma Ceia Country Club and various other civic and charitable organizations. She truly was an inspiration to all who knew and associated with her. Margaret enjoyed life with a passion. A very special thanks to Angel's Garden ALF, for their loving care of Margaret. Also, to Georgina Guiterrez, a very special person and caregiver to Margaret. A funeral mass will be held 11 am, tomorrow (Thursday) at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Villa La Paz Foundation, Inc. (2600 MLK St. N. #300-St. Petersburg, FL 33704).

HOBSON, Jewell Ellen (Bridges)  
HOBSON, Jewell Ellen (Bridges), passed away on Nov. 10, 2014. She was born July 7, 1934 in Shreveport, LA, to Charles Martin Bridges and Mattie Willie Brossette. Jewell was a graduate of Fair Park High School and earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education from Centenary College as a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She continually followed her love for learning and teaching throughout her career as a Caddo Parish educator at Atkins Elementary School until her retirement in 1977. Mrs. Hobson received a heart transplant number 142 at Tampa General Hospital on Nov. 28, 1991. Jewell is survived by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband, Richmond P. Hobson and was also blessed with three wonderful children, Richmond P. Hobson Jr. (dec), Jim Hobson, Guy Hobson. As a great-grandmother, Mrs. Hobson enjoyed the life enrichment that came from knowing her wonderful extended family that includes eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Predeceased by her two older siblings, Dr. Charles Martin Bridges Jr. of Gainesville, and Martha Louise (Bridges) Allen of Houston, TX. Services for Mrs. Jewell Hobson will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA (318)222-0348.

HOFFMANN, Eugene "Gene" 86, of Sun City Center, passed away Nov. 5, 2014. Born in New York, NY Dec. 11, 1927, Gene was a computer programmer, was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Survived by his brother, Gerald Hoffmann; sister, Roseanne Hanrahan; companion, Maria Hoffmann; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be said at 11 am Friday, Nov. 21, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center.

HOGAN, Hazel Ishie 94, of Chiefland, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Cecil Ishie Sr.; son, Buddy Ishie; and daughter, Cecilia Teston. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Hogan; children, Voncille "Tootie" Smith (Ralph), Rubleen Haynes (Cliff), Robert Hogan, and Lisa Hogan; brothers, Paul and Ben Tindale; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild.
