Adolph William ANDERSON

ANDERSON, Adolph William (USAF Retired), 69, of Tampa, entered into rest Monday, March 4, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11 am at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. He was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Senatobia, Mississippi to T. J. and Ernestine Anderson. He grew up in Waterloo, Iowa and graduated from East High School. He served 22 years in the United States Air Force including overseas duty in Vietnam during the TET offensive, the Panama Canal Zone and Hawaii. He retired as Master Sergeant in 1983. He earned an Associate in Applied Science from International Technical Institute and also attended Hillsborough Community College. He was employed as a chief building engineer for Summit Advisors through Unicco, retiring in 2006. Survivors include his daughter, Andrenée Anderson of Tampa; sisters, Wilma Myers (Louis) of Memphis, TN, T. Ella Strother (John) of Aiken, SC, Phyllis Anderson of Memphis; and brother, Harvey C. Anderson (Monica) of Waterloo, IA. He also leaves several nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Alford Anderson; his son, William A. Anderson; both parents; brothers, James, Eric, and T.J. Anderson, Jr. The remains will repose from 4-7 pm, Monday, March 11, 2013, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
