Chester "Chet" CHMIELEWSKI

CHMIELEWSKI, Chester "Chet" 77, of St. Pete Beach, formerly of Jersey City, NJ, passed away April 18, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy; his children, Bill, Mark, Natalie, Gary, and Paul; 14 grandchildren; and his siblings, Eleanor, Carol, Tom, and Irene. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea and later became an entrepreneur and diamond dealer. As a political and community activist, Chet fought against the abuses of government and corruption and was a fierce advocate of private property rights. Visitation at Beach Memorial Chapel April 23, from 5-7 pm. Funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church April 24, at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Florida First Amendment Foundation at or St. John Vianney Catholic School.
