Eugene J. PRUSAK

PRUSAK, Eugene J. quietly passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 in Sun City Center. Gene was born Sept. 13, 1922 to Josephine Marleqa Prusak and John Prusak in Milwaukee, WS. He proudly served his country in the Army in WWII, where he was a POW and the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts. Upon his return to Milwaukee he married the love of his life, Florence T. Ruzinski on Aug. 24, 1946. Mr Prusak was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank, Joe, and Ed and his son Stephen M. Prusak. He is survived by his wife, Florence Prusak; son, Paul A. (Suzanne) Prusak; niece, Joyce Kuderski; and nephew, Donald (Harriet) Prusak; special nieces, Mary Ruzinski Smith and Mary D'Amico; and many close friends and colleagues. Gene's work transferred his family to Olean, NY where the boys grew up. Upon retirement from McGraw-Edison (Cooper Industries) they moved to Sun City Center. In Sun City Center Gene was very active in the Sawdust Engineers, the Rescue Squad and Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A memorial Mass including military honors was held on Nov. 5, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City Center. Final resting place will be Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
