PATNODE, Fred E. Tampa, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Survivors include his wife Caron; daughter, Karla O'Berry and partner, David Pratt; son, Fred W. Patnode and his wife, Mary; grandson, Fred J. Patnode; and great-grandson, Fred Eli Patnode. Fred was a veteran who served in the Army. Fred was a retired City of Tampa Police Officer. He rode motorcycles for 69 years and was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. Fred also had a passion for carpentry work and will be remembered for all the furniture that he made for his family and friends. Fred had many devoted friends who will miss his quick wit and colorful use of cliques that made him loved, if not respected, by everyone that he knew. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, May 18, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. The family will receive friends from 11 am, until service time at 1 pm.
