Genevieve Julian Venero ASMER

ASMER, Genevieve Julian Venero, 93, of Largo, passed away Saturday Oct. 26, 2013 at Highland-Pines Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Genevieve was born Jan. 24, 1920 to Peter and Agnes Julian in Utica, NY. She graduated from Whitesboro Central School. In 1938, she married Nicholas Venero, he died in 1958. In 1961, she married Solomon Asmer, he passed away in 1976. For years Genevieve was employed by Pick-Kwick Food Stores, owning her own franchise until 1992. Others that preceded her in death were her daughter, Susan Hamilton; brothers, Chet, Peter and Gridley; sister, Virginia Scarfo. Survivors include her two sons, Peter Venero (Jean) of Largo and Nicholas Venero (Karla) of Fuquay-Varina, NC; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Suncoast Hospice in her memory.
