George Robert COZZI

COZZI, George Robert 97, of St. Petersburg was peacefully called home to be with God on July 18, 2014 after a long well lived life. He served his country honorably as a U.S. Marine during WWII, and like the other members of his generation hoped that he had seen the end of war. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lennace, along with numerous brothers and sisters. George leaves behind a son, George Jr. (Lois); three daughters, Barbara Kirk, Lennace Ceberek (William), and Lisa Bouffard (Robert); along with 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. George was an incredibly kind and generous man with a contagious smile and unconditional love. He leaves behind a lifetime of happy memories that his family and friends will treasure always. Family and friends may call between the hours of 5 - 7 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home, 3180 30th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33713. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1376 Snell Isle Blvd NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704 with Father Timothy H. Sherwood celebrant. Following, the Mass interment will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
