Jack Alden DONAHEY

DONAHEY, Jack Alden 86, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He built and operated Sunshine Speedway in the 1960s and was in partnership with Joseph Yungel in the 1970s with National Auto Racing Services Insurance. He was owner and operator of Jack A. Donahey & Associates in Kenneth City and Owner & Operator with Dan Jones of Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, in the 1980s and 1990s. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Joyce "Jody" Donahey; brother, Joseph G. Donahey; a daughter, Rhonda Laine; two sons, Daniel A. Donahey, Timothy A. Donahey; a grandson, Alden Donahey. A Memorial service will be held at the Saint Petersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1001 56th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 on Saturday Nov. 16, 2013 at 2 pm with military honors.
