John U. BEHR

BEHR, John U. born on Feb. 8, 1929 in Phila-delphia, PA was carried by the Lord peacefully in his sleep from home on Aug. 22, 2013. He was a U.S. Army 82nd Tank Battalion veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Carpenters Union. John was an Usher and Altar Server at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Seff-ner, and a member of the Ascribed Institute of Charity, and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Claudia; and his five children and their families, son, Robert Behr and wife Ronna and their son and daughter, Christopher and Grace; son, John "Jack" Behr; daughter, Teresa Beck and husband Gary and their son Matthew; son, Donald "Dutch" Behr and wife Tammy; and daughter Jean Farshid and husband Fred and their son and daughter-n-law Dustin and Jerrica and their grand-daughter to be Emrya; bro-ther, Raymond and wife Linda and their children and grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends 10-11 am with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 am, Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
