Joseph W. HAGAN

HAGAN Joseph W. 80, 2nd generation native of Tampa, passed away Nov. 6, 2012. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret McCue; father, Joseph W. Hagan Sr., and Tracy McCue. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Betty Hagan; his daughters, Debbie Estes, Lori Hagan, & Terri Hagan Zertuche; son, William Lloyd Hagan; Betty's children, Douglas Rippy (Nancy), Alice Wegman (Kenny) and Ann Kaicher. He had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Joe graduated from Plant High School class of 1950. He went to Georgia Tech and graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He retired from Flanagan-Metcalf after 25 years. Joe was a member of the Tampa Power Squadron for 8 years and a current member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1991 along with Betty. Joe was an avid boater who enjoyed many hours on patrol for the USCG. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 24th at 2 pm at the USCG Aux. building, 5108 W. Gandy Blvd., Tampa.
