GIOVANETTI, Louis Allen 89, of St. Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. He was born Jan. 13, 1924 in Plymouth, MA. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1947 as a Naval Aviator in World War II attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He earned his B.S. degree from Boston University in 1949. He entered the FBI in 1951 as a special agent. He was later named and served as Special Agent in Charge in Denver, Charlotte, and Newark where he retired in 1978. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; daughters, Lynne (Bill) Boggs, Gail (Baird) Archbald; and stepdaughter, Andrea (Steve) Krusko; seven grandchildren, Emily, Greg, Elise, Kristen, Ryan, Nathan, Austin; and one great-granddaughter, Annika. A memorial service with military honors will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 am.
