Michael Anthony FRANCE

FRANCE, Michael Anthony 51, passed away suddenly on April 12, 2013 as a result of diabetes complications. He is survived by his children, Thomas 15, and twin daughters, Annabelle and Carolynn, age 10; estranged wife Elizabeth; parents, Carol and Michael France; sister, Suzanne France; nephew, Matthew; nieces, Tiffani, Nickki, Krissi; aunts and uncles, Ginny and Ken Mosher, Diane and Gil Sault, George and Sandy Othen, Bobbie Varadi; and many close cousins. He was a very successful screenwriter having written Cliffhanger, GoldenEye, Hulk, Fantastic Four and The Punisher as well as many scripts that as yet have not been made into films. He attended Winter Haven High School, the University of Florida and Columbia University. He owned the Beach Theater where he had attended movies as a child. He was a kind and generous, fun loving man who touched many lives. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Andy; grandparents, George and Frances Othen; and Louise and Roy France and recently his Uncle Greg. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday, April 19, 2013 at Beach Memorial Chapel, St. Pete Beach. Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, St. Pete Beach at 11:30 am Saturday April 20, 2013 followed by burial at Woodlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
