Ricaldo CAGNO

CAGNO, Ricaldo 89, of Tampa passed away at his home May 16, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Josephine; his devoted children, sons, Philip and Rick Jr, a daughter, Marie (Bruce); grandchildren, Anthony, Jennifer (Giampaolo), Anna, Ricky III, Katherine, Julia; great- grandson, Alessandro; a sister, Anna Betancourt (Alfonso) of Belaire; a brother, Albert (Mildred) of Tampa; and many other loving relatives, friends, and neighbors. Rick was a proud Army Veteran of WWII in The Fighting 69th Infantry serving in combat in Germany, which made him a member of Our Greatest Generation. Prior to his retirement, Rick owned the Sunoco service station on the corner of Swann and Henderson for 38 years and was involved in business ventures affiliated with General Motors Acceptance Corporation. Rick loved to cook and there was always room at his table for anyone who walked through his front door. He was a master grillsmith and looked for any occasion to celebrate with his family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, at 9 am with service to follow at 10 am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Honor Flight, P.O. box 55661, St. Petersburg, FL, 33732.
