Richard W. "Dick" CONLEY

CONLEY, Richard W. "Dick" USN RET, 70, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, surrounded by family at St. Anthony's Hospital. Born 1942 in Danvers, MA. In 1958 Richard joined the U.S. Navy as a Sonar Technician, later converting to Ocean Systems Tech., He served his country honorably for 23 years, participating in the Cuban Missile Blockade and introduced towed array sonar to the fleet, and retired as Petty Officer First Class. Richard is predeceased by his parents, Roger W. Conley and Lorraine (Conley) Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Elsie (Terry); sisters, Ann Yodjas and Janice Jones of St. Petersburg; children of Margaret (Pietrini), Christopher Conley (wife Patricia) of Livermore CA, Richard Conley of Peabody MA; & grandchildren, Zachary, Brittany and Sophia. Service will held graveside at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:30 pm. Guestbook at 727-391-9954
