LISKO, Rita age 64, of Sun City Center, passed away Sept. 5, 2013. She was born on Jan. 26, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT, and began her career as an elementary school teacher in Sherman, CT. Her strong desire to help and advocate for others led her to later earn her law degree and start a career as a labor lawyer for the National Labor Relations Board. Even in her death, she continues to have an effect on others through her organ donation. She retired from the NLRB in New York City in 2010 and began a new journey in retirement with her loving husband, Lou, in Sun City Center. Rita was a member of the Sun City Center Masters Swimmers, the Aquasizers, The Purple Butterflies Red Hat Society, and a board member and tutor for The Hope Fund of Wimauma. Rita leaves behind her devoted husband, Louis; a daughter, Adrienne and her daughter, Megan; a son, Louie and (Glenda), their children, Antonio & Adriana; sister, Catherine Tonelli; a brother, Ermie (Jean) Cuzzi; several nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends from 4-5 pm, with the funeral service at 5 pm, Monday, Sept. 9th, at Sun City Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Dr., Sun City Center.
