DIAZ, Robert F. "Bob" 62, this Emmy award
winner passed away on Jan. 30, 2014, after his brave battle with cancer. He began his television career in 1971 working for Channel 9 in Columbus, GA doing camera, audio, video, announcing, direct news and more. In late 1970s, he moved to St. Petersburg to produce commercials and freelance as a camera and videotape operator. He also was a producer for Telemation Studios. He started Crew Line Inc. with his wife in the 1990s to provide and organize entire production crews for televised events around Florida and beyond. Bob was responsible for giving many people their first start into freelance TV and mentored them along. He will be missed so much by his family, friends, and colleagues in the TV industry. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Diaz; sons, Robert Diaz II and Matt Ehmig; daughters, Amanda Hurst and Lisa Williams; 6 grandchildren; a great grandchild; his father, Joe Diaz; 2 brothers; a sister and other family and friends.
