Vincent A. FALCONE

FALCONE, Vincent A. 98, of Tampa passed away on July 25, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in White Plains, NY, he lived most of his adult life in Passaic and Clifton, NJ. Vinny was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Pacific and had a long career with the government working for the Social Security office, the Office of Dependency Benefits and the Post Office. He was very active in the church and community. Retiring to Tampa in the late 70s, he went back to work managing a food service equipment warehouse. A long time parishioner at Corpus Christi church, he is a past Grand Knight with Council #7644 and spent many Tuesday nights working the kitchen at the bingo events. Vinny was a generous man, always had a friendly smile and had a huge impact on the lives of people that met him. Vinny is pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Agnew of Union, NJ, sisters, Johanna Curcio and Katherine Spinella. He is survived by his daughters, Fran Falcone (Orlando) and Theresa Rosen-brock (Tampa) and a granddaughter, Meghan (Matt) Erlanger. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 28 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks, Temple Terrace. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 29 at 9:30 am with internment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
