Virgil Bernard BURGER

BURGER, Virgil Bernard 91, of Gulf Hammock, passed away June 12, 2014. Mr. Burger was born in Stutttgart, AR and proudly served his country in the US Navy. He moved to the Dade City area, where he became a police officer in Pasco County for 25 years and served as police lieutenant for 4 years. He also owned and operated a Nursery Business for over 38 years. He moved to Gulf Hammock in 1993 and became a member of Concord Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife, Madge Casey Burger of Gulf Hammock; stepdaughter, Emily Casey; dau-ghter, Lou Ann Banks; a brother, John Burger; his sisters, Irene Gillis and Virginia Yager; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Sarah, Kristy, and Crystal; 4 great-grandchildren. There will be an open visitation Saturday, June 14, from 1-4 pm at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be Sunday, June15, at 3 pm at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery 11531 US Hwy 301 Dade City.
