Harold MORRIS Obituary

MORRIS, Harold E. 96, of St. Petersburg passed away March 15, 2014. Born in Philadelphia he moved here in 1987 from North Miami. He graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the next year from the Graduate School of Engineering of Yale University. An employee of the Freight Traffic Department of the Pennsylvania Railroad, service was interrupted by four years in the Army, serving in the U.S. and in Tinian of the Marianna's Islands. Later was freight Traffic Supervisor of the R.H. Macy & Co., NYC. In 1967, moved to North Miami as Freight Traffic Consultant for Nationwide Traffic Service. He was a non-attorney Practitioner before the Interstate Commerce Commission. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. In other Lutheran churches in No. Miami and St. Petersburg he was Treasurer and Council member. He was a railroad, baseball fan and was interested in languages, history, classical music and investing. Survivors include his cousin, Jean Morris. Friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday, March 20, from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. R.
