I was shocked and saddened to read of Bill's passing, having just congratulated him on his upcoming retirement a few months ago. I worked with Bill for the past seven years prior to his retirement whenever issues relating to the contract between the City and the Sheriff's Office for law enforcement services came up; it was one of the many hats he wore! I so appreciated his sense of humor and candor, and knew after a short time that I would greatly enjoy working with Bill. I am certain he will be hugely missed and offer my deepest condolences to his family as you grieve your loss.
