Golda Farmer Obituary

FARMER, Golda passed away on April 5, 2008. She was born on Oct. 7, 1918 in Hindman, KY. She moved to Clearwater with her husband, Jack in 1955 from Arlington, VA. They owned the Court House Sinclair Gas Station and apartments at 1012 N. Ft. Harrison Ave. She was a cashier for several supermarkets and also a waitress. She worked at the Park Terrace Grill and other restaurants, the last being Young's Barbeque. Golda was known for her feisty personality, hard work, loyalty and her wonderful southern cooking. She is survived by her 5 children, Creva J. Haugen, Chantilly, VA, Sarah R. Phillips, Clearwater, Patricia Shockey, Leesburg, VA, James H. Moore, Clearwater, Larry Moore, Front Royal, VA; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Ethel Lewis of Clearwater. A memorial service will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home located at 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater, on Saturday April 19, 2008 at 3 pm.
