It was with great sadness to have heard of the loss of such brave and courageous officers. My wife and I were travelling in the Holiday area last week when we got the news. Being a police communications/911 operator here in Canada for almost 36 years, I realize that there are no boundaries when fellow peace officers fall in such a heartless fashion. Our hearts stretches out to both families, partners and co-workers of those officers. Be strong and may God be with you all in this time of sorrow.

Your family has been in my thoughts and prayers. Although we never met, I live in your community, and my 5 year old would be so excited to see "his K9 officer". I've walked by your home hundreds of times, and always noted Officer Yaslowitz's vehicle and was so proud that he was part of our neighborhood. My deepest sympathy to your family. My heart just aches for you all. I know your faith will carry you all through this difficult time.

Jeff,
You have "let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
You will always be remembered as a kind and gentle brother in Christ and friend.
When we all get to heaven, what a glorious day that would be. See ya, then.
Norma

to the Yaslowitz family:
Please accept our deepest condolences for your tragic loss.
May each of you feel the loving presence of the Spirit of the Lord embracing your brokenness of hearts. May the brush of angel wings bring peace and comfort in the stillness of your moments. May you treasure the precious memories together. May God sustain and surround blessings of strength and faith to carry you through this valley of void and fill you with oil of joy and the power of peace.
Scripture says in Paul's letter of epistle in 2Corin. 5:7-"We live by faith, not by sight." "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord."
With that, we know, Jeff was a devout Christian soldier knowing exactly how he was going to serve the Lord until it was his calling to go home. Mrs. Yaslowitz, as you have stated, "this was his destiny".
Keep on fighting the good fight of faith and keep on keeping on.
Please read Romans 8:28. God bless each and everyone of you.

An Officer's Welcome
"Peter, you must prepare two high thrown seats. This day we will welcome an officer and a Sgt. into Heaven. Their absence will be felt by many on earth but their presence before me, their Lord, will be their reward."
"Lord, K-2 officer Jeffrey Yaslowitz and Sgt. Tom Batinger have copleted their missions on earth and have arrived."
"Well done my good and faithful servants. Welcome to paradise."

There are no words adequate to express profound sympathy and deep compassion to you Lorraine and your precious children. Tears have been flowing from my heart ever since learning of the death of Jeff. Please know that being the sister-in-law to 2 former police officers I know somewhat of the 'brother hood' of the police...we care deeply and respect them all!
I was so deeply at the barking of Ace as he in his own way was grieving for his master....we have had a couple of shephreds...miss them to this day. know that all of Jeff's family will be near to so many hearts and that prayers will continue. 'Dig deep' into your faith dear folks...To your children Lorraine: 'I lost my Dad at the age of 9...to this day he is still in my heart...never to be forgotten and loved!' Children: YOU ARE LOVED!!
Caring prayers and Christian love to you all! Thank you to the officers of the St. Pete's police dept!! YOU ARE ALL CHERISHED AND LOVED!
