Nathan SIMPSON Obituary

SIMPSON, Nathan Bryan Jr. 46, of Highlands, NC, and formerly of Tampa, died May 17, 2013. He was a sixth generation Floridian descended from four pioneer Florida families: Lesley, Cleaveland, Wootton and Bryan. He was predeceased by his brother, John Gray Simpson of Highlands and formerly of Tampa;, his grandparents, Hazel W. & Thomas E. Gray, and Geraldine L. & Arthur A. Simpson; his aunt, Lesley Simpson Ault, all of Tampa; and is survived by his parents, Jane and Nathan Simpson; his aunts, Allen Simpson Murray & Hazel Gray Hanlon; his uncle, Arthur A. Simpson Jr.; and many loving cousins & friends. He was a graduate of Berkeley Preparatory School of Tampa and The University of South Florida with a BS in Business Administration. He was employed by Peoples Gas System and TECO Energy. A member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, the Merrymakers Club and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. John Reese and Rev. Canon Gerald Stadel at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Tampa, Thursday, May 23rd, 10 am, with interment at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Charles Hanlon, David Hanlon, Thomas Hanlon, William Hanlon, David May, Frank Allen May, Samuel Murray, Arthur A. Simpson III, Peter Kieffer & Hal Greer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Foundation, Tampa Bay History Center, Highlands-Cashiers Hospital Foundation or to charities of choice.
