Alfred Hilley Obituary

HILLEY, Alfred Wayne 83, passed away June 1, 2011. Born Oct. 2, 1927 in Pennsylvania, he grew up in Jamison City, PA. He served in the U.S. Navy 1945-1948 and reenlisted 1951-1955, serving on numerous aircraft carriers as a metal smith. He also served in Navy blimps as a cook. He was an official "plank owner" having been a member of the original crew of the USS Coral Sea commissioned in 1947. He got an honorable discharge in 1955. He was a wonderful husband & loving father to his family. "We'll miss you, Dad." He leaves behind brother, Keith (Ruth) Hilley; daughters, Gloria (Larry) Sharpe, Lori (Tom) Liberge; son, Bruce Hilley; grandchildren, Bryan, Matthew, Rachel, Brandon, Jeremy, Katie & Corey; plus numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
