DENTON, Bernadette Ann (Curley) 76, of Clearwater, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, of Leukemia. She was born in Jersey City, NJ on June 11, 1937. In 1977, she and her family relocated from Greenwood Lake, NY to Florida in search of warm winters. She worked at Morton Plant Hospital in the Food and Nutrition department for 24 years before happily retiring to a life filled with books, movies, music and the enjoyment of her friends and family. All who had the pleasure of knowing "Bernie" will never forget her warm smile and quick Irish wit. Mom believed that if you instilled the love of family, music and comedy in your children, everything else would fall into place. Bernie was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Frank Denton; her parents, John and Mary Kelly Curley; and the following siblings, John Curley, Owen Curley, and Patricia Mitchell. She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Fowler (Michael), Francine Campogni (Curtis), Daniele Sheeler (Jarvis); four grandchildren, Curtis Campogni (Diane), Holly Sheeler, Kylie Fowler, and Kelsiann Fowler; her siblings, Joan Dziemian, Margaret Bierman (Robert), Edward Curley (Nora), James Curley, and Evelyn Nooney; and countless nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Light of Christ Catholic Church on Thursday, Aug. 29th at 2:30 pm with a reception to follow in the parish hall. Friends and family are welcome to attend to share memories of a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Suncoast Animal League at http://www.suncoastanimalleague.org.
