MILLS, Caleb Zachary age 23, of Tampa, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born on Sept. 27, 1989 in Tampa. Caleb was the oldest of two children. He attended North Georgia Military College. He served in the Army for 6 years. A veteran of Afghanistan and the Global War on Terrorism, he earned an Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. He was a former resident of Atlanta, GA for 5 years. Caleb was a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria Episcopal Church. He enjoyed Karate, the Army, reading, and many outdoor activities. Survivors include his loving parents, Scott and Jennifer Cook and Devin Moore; grandparents, Jack and Jo Ann Cook; Thomas and Deborah Parks; and his sister, Kara Moore. He is also survived by many loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Janean Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service for Caleb at 10:30 am, on Friday, April 12th, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Episcopal Church, 502 Druid Hills Road, Temple Terrace. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. The family kindly requests attendees bring a non-perishable food item for donation to St. Vincent de Paul in honor of Caleb. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caleb's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
