BRAXON, Carlos of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 2 pm at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Ave. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Carlos was a native of Tampa and a resident for 57 years. He was employed as a Maintenance Coordinator at JJ Taylor Warehouse. A Very well known man of style and grace in the Tampa Bay Area, he could be found on any given day wiping his car down or jogging in his neighborhood. He spent many Saturday mornings at Mac-Farlane Park playing basketball with friends and working out. Many didn't know, however, that all his hard work was so that he could get into the Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest person jogging backwards. He was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was a soul taken from us too soon; he will be dearly missed. He leaves to cherish precious memories: his two beloved daughters, Carla, Donna; grandchildren, Tavares, Kenyon, Evan; brothers, Michael, Robert and wife, Shirley; sisters, H. Maria (Robert), Catalina, Beverly; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. The remains will repose after 5 pm Friday, May 17, 2013, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave. Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners. www.raywilliamsfuneralhome.com
