HECK, Charles A.

89, of Largo, formerly of Milton, WV, passed away into God's hands Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015. He was born to the late Earl and Carrie Heck, Jan. 25, 1926 in Branchland, WV. He married the late Rosina Heck in 1943 and lived in various Army posts world wide until settling in Milton, WV. In 1994 they relocated to Largo. Charlie enlisted in the U.S. Army at a young age and retired after 20 years of service in the grade of Major at age 38. His military career was spent in the Military Police Corps. With this experience, Charlie joined the U.S. Marshals Service and served 20 years. He retired at the grade of Enforcement Inspector. Charlie was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Retired Military Police Officers Association, Military Police Regimental Association and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Agents Association. He is survived by and will be missed by his daughter, Pamela Wells of Seminole; his son and daughter-in-law, Erik and Margie Heck of Newport, NC; and his grandson, Adam Corcovilos of Seminole. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Rosina and his son-in-law Monty Wells. A private memorial for family will be held at a later time.
