Conrad ROMAN


ROMAN, Conrad 70, of Tampa, passed away on April 20, 2013. He was born in New York City in 1942, & was a Golden Gloves boxer in Las Vegas at age 18. He entered the Army in 1961, and served in Japan. Conrad played baseball in the Armed Forces, and after the Army, played in the minor leagues for the Kansas City Athletics. He lived most of his life in New York City, and worked as an alarm technician for twenty years, before moving to Tampa in 1983. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jennie Gordon; sister, Ruth Page; and niece, Jennifer Page. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty five years, Karen G. Roman; son, Alexander C. Roman; cousins, Alma Fowler (Ron), David Soler, & his sons, David Soler Jr. and Sean Soler; extended family & friends. A service will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 27th, at Florida Mortuary, 4601 N. Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33603. Family will receive friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson's or Alzheimer's Society. His smile will be forever remembered.
