ARAMBAGES, Constantine "Gus", A long time Staten Islander, 95, of Castleton Corners, owner of White House Beverage Distributers, died peacefully in his adopted town of Clearwater, on June 29, 2013. Born Jan. 1, 1918. He was raised on Staten Island. Gus Arambages worked as a longshoreman for many years with the former St. George Trucking Company. He then opened White House Beverage distributers, a business that he and his family owned & operated for over 25 years. He retired in 1981. Mr. Arambages graduated from Curtis High School. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army as a tank commander from 1941-1946. His wife of 47 years, was the former Artemis Hiotou from Pireus Greece. Gus was an avid golfer and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. Gus had a passion for Big-Band Music and dancing from that era. He is survived by his daughter, Helen & her spouse, Dr. Ted Foto-poulos; his son, John and daughter-in-law, Stacy Aram-bages. He is survived by four grandchildren, Evan Aramb-ages, Kosta Fotopoulos, Ereni Fotopoulos and Christopher Fotopoulos. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 2nd, 11 am, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Sun Coast Hospice.
