BAKER, Douglas Vincent 98, of Seminole, died Sept. 14, 2011. He was born in Richmond Hill, NY to Lee and Vie Baker. Douglas served in the U.S. Navy as Machinist Mate 1st Class, 1943-1946. He moved his family here in 1953, from Rockaway Beach, NY. Douglas retired in 1978, after 24 years of service from the City of St. Petersburg, as foreman in the municipal maintenance department. For many years after retiring, he and his wife Mary enjoyed their sales booths at the Wagon Wheel Flea Market and at Mount Dora. Predeceased by his parents and his wife of 67 years, he is survived by 3 sons, Douglas (Diane) Sandford, Robert (Janneane) Pinellas Park, Kevin (Joy) Seminole; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
