Elizabeth Streeter Obituary

STREETER, Elizabeth V. of Belleair, passed away Jan. 14, 2011. Mrs. Streeter was the granddaughter of the late George N. Clemson, inventor of the hack saw blade; the daughter of the late Frances Clemson and the late William Edward Cross. Her parents maintained a winter residence on Clearwater Beach for many years. Mrs. Streeter had been a winter resident before moving here permanently in 1969. She and her late husband, Thomas Dewitt Vander Voort built their home here. Mrs. Streeter was married twice. First to the late Thomas Dewitt Vander Voort, of Middletown, NY and second marriage was to the late Daniel Barton Streeter, of Buffalo, NY. She is survived by children, Dorothy Cross Vander Voort, Claire V. Wolkind and Thomas Dewitt Vander Voort Jr.; 3 step sons, Daniel W. Streeter, Bradley G. Streeter and Alexander Torre Tasso; 8 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at Hubbell Funeral Home, with Rev. I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Bett's death. Dottie, Claire, Tom and families -- she was a great lady, wonderful fun. I have lots of fond Middletown memories.
