TANA, Elizabeth "Betty" 94, of St. Petersburg, passed peacefully into God's hands at Hospice House Woodside on Sept. 28, 2013. Betty was born in Washington, D.C. and worked as a secretary until her marriage to "Pete" shortly before WWII. After the war, Betty and her husband returned to the D.C. area to raise their family. She worked as an E.R. receptionist at Sibley Memorial Hospital until her retirement when she and Pete moved to St. Petersburg to join their two daughters. Betty is survived by daughters, Sandra Colbert (Joseph), Anita Proctor (Richard); grandsons, Stephen Colbert (Jeannine), and John Colbert (Julie de Chantal), great-granddaughter Madeline Colbert. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church, Seminole, FL on Oct. 18th at 10 am with internment to follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
