Earnie, I was just in NC, the home you and Chick built there sure doesn't look the same as when you two were there. Miss you two and think of you often. Patty Stevenson and Family

Through his expertise as radio operator for the Sheriff's Office, Ernie played a major role in keeping the deputies safe during their patrols. Multi-tasking was an understatement in his position as he had to know where all the 'In service' deputies were, answer phones, keep a typed log of activity, search wanted & tag records, change out recording drums, etc. Ernie was a true professional and was appreciated by all he touched.
