Evelyn Harrison Obituary

HARRISON, Evelyn 85, of Dunedin, passed away June 9, 2011. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Elaine; grandchildren, Christopher, Kelley and Andrew; great grand-children, Alexa and Ashlyn; and many special friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward and oldest son, Glenn. She was a very active member of her church, St. Alfred's Episcopal and a long-time member of the Pinellas County Literacy Council. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 17th from 4-6 pm at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 1750 Curlew Road. Funeral services will be on Saturday at St. Alfred's Episcopal Church at 10 am with burial to follow at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Susan G. Komen Foundation or charity of your choice. www.curlewhills.com

Evelyn was a special person at LCUP (Literacy Council of Upper Pinellas) for many years. She not only tutored, but spent much time as the local librarian for other tutors' needs.
She was a good friend! I am sorry I cannot attend her funeral but my thoughts are with her family. You can be very proud of her courage as she worked her way through life.
