I lived on the next street over from the Adcock family in Hialeah and many, many days we'd spend playing football, baseball and other sports in the street in front of their home. I had Mrs. Adcock as a physical education teacher for a year at DuPuis Elementary School and their daughter Sybil often with join in with us when we played baseball. We also got to swim in their pool a number of times. I didn't have much contact with Mr. Adcock, but he always seemed to be a kind, good man to us kids.
