ASHCRAFT, Hazel Boykin age 92, of Clearwater, passed away on May 8, 2013, at Palm Garden of Clearwater. She was raised in Micro, NC, before moving to Florida in 1958. She attended Skycrest Baptist Church for 45 years and was most recently attending North Dunedin Baptist Church. She completed her teaching certificate in 1966 in East Carolina University. She traveled with her husband, Joe, overseas while he was in the military. They also visited most of the lower 48 states during their travels. She worked for the FBI for a short time before moving from Alexandria, VA, to Clearwater. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, William Boykin and Sara Catherine Boykin; her husband, Joe Ashcraft; her son, Michael Ashcraft; and her six siblings. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue E. Ash-craft of Palm Harbor; granddaughter, Jennifer (Ashcraft) Dydel of Lakewood, CO. Hazel was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She has now gone home to be with her Lord, but will be greatly missed. Funeral services were held on May 14th, and concluded with Hazel's interment in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
