Linda June COLLOM

Obituary

COLLOM, Linda June left us to join her parents on Nov. 14, 2013. She is survived by her son, Jacob Boling. Linda was born on Oct. 5, 1951 in Michigan City, Indiana. She grew up in Tampa and attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Linda moved to northern Florida after graduating from Leto High School in 1969. Later in life Linda moved back to Tampa where she worked for AT&T and won many awards with Verizon. Anyone who knew Linda knew her lovely smile, her friendliness, her kindness, her love of life, her love of music and how she loved to dance. Linda was a lovely and compassionate person who loved animals very much. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Ward Collom and Katherine Edna Bigham-Collom, and brother David Collom, all of Tampa. Linda is survived by her six siblings, Donna Collom of Delray Beach, FL, Robert Collom of St. Pete Beach, FL, Kay Collom-Deverell (Rich) of Elkton, MD, John Collom of Houston, TX, Charles Collom (Patty) of St Pete Beach, FL, Terri Collom-Gerstein (Larry) of Lantana, FL. Linda had many nieces and nephews that loved her very much also many extended family members and friends. Linda cared far more for family, friends and even strangers, than she ever cared for herself. Linda, you will surely be missed by everyone. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at 10 am at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home Chapel, 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa.
