WARD, Linley Kent Jr. "LK" 80, of New Port Richey, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. He was born Feb. 9, 1933, son of Linley Kent Ward Sr. and Thelma Louise Robinson in Hagerstown, MD. He is a veteran of the Korean War having served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp from 1951 to 1954. He graduated from Mississippi State University as an Aerospace Engineer. He later became Vice President of Sverdrup Technology and served as General Manager of the Stennis Space Center Group, where he was awarded the NASA Certificate of Appreciation for his leadership and significant contribution to the NASA Mission. "LK" loved camping, boating, fishing, and his dogs. He was loved by many, and is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Jane; their son, David and his wife, Karen of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, David K. Ward, Jr., and wife, Kara, Peter G. Ward, and Callie T. Ward. He was preceded in death by his son, Clifford Lee Ward. He will be buried at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 11 am with Military Honors.
