Manuel GARCIA Jr.


GARCIA, Manuel Jr. 69, of Tampa, passed away July 28, 2012. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Garcia retired as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service after 28 years, was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of St. John Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ofelia Manuela Garcia; his daughter, Michelle Elena Garcia; sisters, Modesta Inez Licata, and Julia Ann Priede; and nephew, John Philip Licata. Manuel is survived by his loving family, wife, Carmen Cruz Garcia; his son, Manuel Joseph Garcia; granddaughters, Jessika Marie, and Sarah Inez Garcia; and niece and nephew, Catherine and Daniel Poveda; brother, John (Cindy) Cruz; sister, Yolanda (Edward) Gonzalez. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday morning, August 11, at 11 am at St. John Presbyterian Church, 4120 N. MacDill Ave., Tampa. A reception for family and friends will follow the Memorial Service in the church fellowship hall.
