CHRISTY, Marjorie Ruth 90, of Brandon, passed away peacefully in the home and presence of her loving daughter, Carol Valaes and her husband George, in Brandon, on June 4, 2011. She is survived by sons, James Joseph, Oakland, CA and John Patrick Seattle, WA. Born in Richmond Hill, NY in 1921, she lived life to its fullest. She was a proud Army wife accompanying husband James Vincent, 1921-2003, post WWII to stations where she created homes in Europe, Asia and America. She achieved her life-long dream of retirement in Florida where she enjoyed many years in Clearwater. She was a life-long Christian and member of the United Methodist Church in Pinellas Park since 1987. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Lake Seminole Square Retirement Home in Seminole at 10:30 am, June 10. Marge Christie always lighted up the room. She loved everybody she met.
I knew her for a decade and even when she knew her days were numbered, she called me to say "goodbye." I did not understand what that meant until Hattie Hunt told me about her passing. She was my Mary Poppins, Thank you, Marge for your love and friendship.

Carol, Your mother meant so much to me. She took me under her wing from the minute she met me. I enjoyed her humor and activity level. She was a real fire-cracker!I will miss her.

Carol,

It was an honor to be able to provide care for your mom. Marinette and I were blessed to meet such a sweet lady. Thank you for trusting Accessible Home Health Care with someone so precious to you. I'm glad you got to spend her last days together in your home where she felt safe with family. I know she felt your love and devotion and appreciated it. Warmest regards,

Carol Valaes
