Mary Giroux Obituary

GIROUX, Mary "Stella" 94, of Clearwater, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at her residence. Born in Jackman, ME, she was educated in schools in Quebec and Ontario, graduated from Brownville Junction High School and Maine General Hospital School of Nursing. She was a United States Army veteran and retired from the VA hospital at Togus, ME. Mary was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and the Womans Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Giroux; father, Deforrest William Carmichael; mother Mary Bryant (nee Little); step father, Temple Bryant; sister Eileen Carmichael Malouf; brothers Cecil and Herbert Bryant. Mary is survived by brother, John Bryant and his wife Joyce, Dunedin; brother, Forrest E. Carmichael, Palm Harbor, and step son, Leon J. Giroux, Augusta, ME. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery at a later date. Because I was gone for 53 years, I only got to see and know you on my return to the States every few years. You and uncle Clem were very dear to me and my family. May God give you the rest you deserve.
