GARWELL, Olivia Marie 73, of Dunedin, FL passed away at home and went to be with the Lord after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer on July 8, 2013. Born in Lawn, Newfoundland, Canada to Mildred and Archibald Edwards, she came to New York City at 22 and became a proud U.S. citizen in 1977. She met and married Dennis Garwell in New York City, then moved to Ohio to begin a family. She went to Kent State University to study interior design, achieved an insurance license, and was a licensed cosmetologist. In 1982 she moved to Clearwater, to fulfill her lifelong wish to be close to the water and it was here she found the work she enjoyed the most, real estate. For the last 20 years, Olivia helped many people find the home of their dreams. Olivia loved meeting new people and had countless friends over the years. Ask any of the many people who crossed her path and they will say there was something very special about Olivia; she listened to them and helped many with her kindness and wisdom. She was an expert at finding a great bargain, enjoyed dancing and music (especially Elvis), and could spend hours arguing and laughing about current events. More than anything, Olivia had a passion and deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Dennis; son, Erik (Linda); daughter, Lisa Schick (Gary); grandson, Jacob; and granddaughter, Olivia; as well as brothers, Arch, Eric, Arnold, and Pat; sisters, Eileen, Alma, Millie, Marg, Norma, and Mary; a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family, Joyce, Kent, and Daniel Austin.
